After the Networking Event

Now that you’ve ventured out and begun networking more, here are 5 tips that cover what can you do after the events to help build on all your good work.

  1. Add the contacts to your contact management system. Include some points that you discussed with that person.
  2. Follow up on those subjects that were brought up at the event.
  3. Send a “nice to meet you” email to your newest contact.
  4. Before your next event, refresh yourself on who you met at the last event.
  5. Prepare some follow-up questions for your fellow networkers.

Happy networking!

Just as you can use your network to open doors, you should open doors for others.  Just as you turn to people in your network to deal with problems you encounter, you should make sure you are generous in your offers to help others deal with the challenges they face.”  ~ Michael Dulworth

…another great blog post Jamie! #1 is obviously super important, and I like #3 too, following up with an e-mail is an awesome idea, I do it all the time, and it helps people remember you 🙂
